When we first purchased the farm in 1993, it was strictly a Bed and Breakfast. We loved having guests delight in the breakfasts we served, and I loved creating the menus. And it wasn’t just that the food was wonderful, it was the whole experience of interacting with the guests and trying to make their stay memorable.
Over the years we hired innkeepers as it got too much for us to manage. But the innkeepers followed my breakfasts, and when guests kept asking us for recipes, I decided to put them on YouTube. So a lot of what we served is on YouTube – look for “Cooking with Kam“.
Then for a short period in 2014 we became a vacation rental. Now we are licensed as a farm vacation. We don’t serve breakfast for guests that are just renting rooms, (most of the rooms have access to a kitchen), but we do serve meals for those attending the retreats
I decided that as delicious as our breakfasts were, they do not fit the lifestyle I want to promote. Having benefited enormously from following the Paleo lifestyle myself, I cannot in good conscience serve food that does not promote that healthy lifestyle.
When we conduct health and wellness retreats at Haley Farm we only serve delicious healthy meals and include a cooking demo.
But we do carry a menu guide from the restaurants in the area and we can advise you depending on what type of food you enjoy. You won’t go hungry. Learn more about other local dining options here: Deep Creek Lake Menu Guide
